Groupwork for 14 - 24 year olds
Working with groups of young people together can be very dynamic and exciting, but also deeply healing and transformational. Nowadays it is more crucial than ever that as many young people as possible have access to consistent emotional support, to be offered a place or group where they know they be heard and seen for who they truly are.
Life can be challenging for young people as they face a lot of pressures nowadays, and with the breakdown of family relationships and the increase of social media, teenagers can become quite isolated and cut off from their true feelings.
Groupwork allows young people to explore, share and connect to their peers, and find out that they may not be the only person in the whole world who is experiencing the problem they are facing! And of course, groups can be a lot of fun, and can foster a deeper sense of community and belonging, no matter how different we may seem to be on the outside.

Janet has created a series of four workshops for parents, due to the demand from parents directly for professional support in building confidence in their relationships with their young ones. The parents who have participated in the workshops have requested further ongoing support, so we are now meeting together fortnightly as a Parents Development Group to keep the conversation going as it provides such great learning for all. Do get in touch if you would be interested in joining the Parents Development Group or in arranging for the Parents Workshops to take place in your community venue, school or organisation.
Various packages can be tailor made specifically for schools so that the children and staff receive ongoing mental health and wellbeing support. Janet offers a series of workshops to support teachers as well as meditation and body awareness classes, and current groupwork in schools include working with young men, eating disorders, relationships and anxiety.
If you or your organisation are interested in hosting one of Janet's workshops or having ongoing groupwork support, please get in touch so that we can arrange a time to meet at your organisation to discuss options. For further information about the Parents Workshops or School Packages, please contact Janet directly on 07731 548914, or use the contact form to make an enquiry.
