About Janet Williams

Janet Williams
Integrative Counselling (L5) Post Qualifying Diploma (L7) in Counselling Children & Young People, MSc Psychology
I trained in Psychotherapy about twenty years ago while having small children, and then had a big career diversion - living in Australia for nearly three years and then setting up a family business which required my full attention for almost a decade!
It has been with great joy that I have returned to my first love, which is supporting people who are in crisis, or simply struggling to find their way in life. To get ‘back in the saddle’ so to speak, I expanded my knowledge and experience by training in Integrative Counselling (Level 5 Diploma), followed by a post qualifying Diploma in Counselling Children & Young People (Level 7 Diploma). Subsequently I have completed a MSc in Psychology and in the final stages of a Professional Doctorate in Counselling Psychology.
More recently, I have been running a specific 10 week Trauma Programme funded by the local authority here in Bath, and have considerable success offering tailor-made programs for individuals with Eating Disorders. My private practise is quite evenly split between adults and young people, but my work for other services is predominately with adults.
Bath is an amazing place to live and work, and draws people from all over the world to come and live, study or visit.
If you or someone close to you is looking for some extra support, please do get in touch!
Yours truly,
Janet
